The Brush
Beetdigger Booster Club will be holding a Chili Supper on Friday,
September 3rd at 5:30pm at the Beetdigger Stadium prior to the Brush
- Fort Morgan football game. Cost is a donation toward the Booster
Club for Brush Athletics.
The Fort Morgan Swimming Pool will
be open only on weekends from 1pm to 5pm. The last day for the pool
will be Labor Day, September 6th. The annual Doggie Days will be
held on that day from 5pm to 7pm. Cost is $2 per dog. For more information,

The Association for Children
with Disabilities, serving Morgan County, will host Advocate Lee
Mizer, for an informational meeting, on Monday, September 27th from
6pm to 8pm at the Fort Morgan School District Support Center, 715
West Platte Avenue in Fort Morgan. Fee is $5, collected at

The Sterling Recreation Center will
be closed September 7th through the 9th for annual prevenive maintenance.

Security Office will be open Wednesday, September 8th and the Sterling
office on Wednesday, September 22nd, both from 9am to 3pm.

AARP will be conducting a Driver Safety
class at the Ft. Morgan Senior Center, 110 Sherman Street, on September
8th & 9th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. The cost is $12 for AARP

Eben Ezer Lutheran Care
Center in Brush will be hosting a 2-person scramble golf tournament
on Friday, September 10th at the Bunker Hill Country Club in Brush.
After the tournament they will be hosting some fun events such as
a cash prize ball drop with only 100 balls being sold, a splash
tank, a marshmallow smash, a putting contest and more.
The 2010 Morgan Women's
Fall Volleyball Leagues will begin September 13th at Ft. Morgan
High School. Team fee is $200 and is due by September 10th. Entry
forms are available at Star Athletic Club or by calling Brian at

The Sterling Recreation
Center will be hosting the NFL/Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition,
for boys & girls ages 8 to 15, on Saturday, September 11th at
10am at Tiger Field at Sterling High School. Registration forms
can be picked up at Pro Sports or the Sterling Rec. Center or register

The first annual James
Alexander Miller Memorial Poker Run, benefitting the Earth Medical
Corps, will be held on Saturday, September 11th with registration
from 8am to 10am at Henry's Pub & Club in Sterling. Entry

The Rankin Presbyterian Church Youth
Group & Kid's Klub will launch a kick-off Pizza & Pop Fest
on Wednesday, September 15th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the church

A "Walk Thru the
Old Testament" Seminar will be held at the Snyder Bible Church

The 28th annual Brush
Oktoberfest & Car Show will be held in downtown Brush on Saturday,

The Fort Morgan United
Presbyterian Church will hold the 2010 Fall Arts & Crafts Festival
on Saturday, October 2nd from 9am to 3pm. Craft or Farmer's Market

Logan County Toastmaster's International meets on the 1st and 3rd
Tuesdays of each month at noon at the Ramada Inn in Sterling. For

New hours are now in effect at the Yuma County Courts. The courts
are now open Monday through Thursday from 8am to noon and 1-4:30pm
and Fridays from 8am to 1 pm. This is temporary due to budget short
falls and hiring freezes. The staff appreciates your patience.
The Yuma Lions Club has Bingo on the second and fourth Tuesdays
of each month at the Club at Indian Hills in Yuma.
The Sterling Public Library has openings for Toddle Time on Wednesday
from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. Toddle time is for children age 18 months
through age 2. Little Readers for children age 3 through 5 is held
on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
